Role Overview

As a Senior Sales Executive, you will be responsible for generating sales from a specific set of clients of SS&C Research, Analytics, and Consulting.  The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for executing on sales strategies and managing sales campaigns from beginning to end, with the appropriate partnership within SS&C and the product/services owners.  This role operates mostly independently, with guidance from the VP of Distribution Solutions; the focus may include a blend of existing accounts and new business. Travel is required on a regular basis (once we are able to safely travel again) and can be based out of any location (with a preference towards areas where significant numbers of clients are based).

While working at SS&C, you will help our prospects and clients discover opportunities in the complexities associated with mounting inflows of data, rapid technological advancements, shifting regulatory change, rising security risks and increasing demands from their customers. Your job is to help our clients discover opportunity through technology, strategic advisory and business improvement solutions.  You will work with many of the world’s leading asset management companies (both traditional and alternative).

Responsibilities
  • Primarily selling data management, analytics, and consulting solutions to asset managers.
  • Sell all SS&C products, solutions and services with new or existing clients.
  • Create sales opportunities, pipeline, and closures within client base/territory and facilitate cross-selling opportunities for existing clients.
  • Solicit and maintain a network of prospects.
  • Obtain knowledge in distribution, data management, analytics, and services offered by SS&C.
  • Understand client needs, strategies, and goals in order to recommend and sell appropriate products or services to meet client needs.
  • Create sales plans to manage sales goals and achieve targets.
  • Negotiate and close deals that meet client expectations and SS&C’s ability to deliver.
  • This role works and collaborates with a variety of leaders and resources throughout SS&C’s Research, Analytics, and Consulting team, as well as Relationship Executives, Marketing, and other teams across the broader organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of work-related experience, or Master’s degree and 3 years of work-related experience, or 8 years equivalent work-related experience
  • Must be self-motivated to deliver results.
  • Experience in B2B selling in the financial industry, preferably experience with selling data management and/or analytics capabilities to asset managers.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: data management, analytics, consulting, and/or asset management distribution
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), relationship, selling and collaboration skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals.
