Summary

The Sr. Strategic Content Marketing Analyst works as part of a center of excellence within Harbor Marketing around developing and promoting Harbor’s brand via content and messaging development. You will work across the organization, primarily with Investments, business unit managers, and Distribution, leading, building, curating, and promoting both short-and long-term integrated sales and marketing strategies, plans, and programs.  You are charged with developing greater ongoing engagement across multiple platforms to drive results in awareness, consideration, and commercialization of Harbor solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Orchestrating primarily digital and some traditional print content strategies across all relevant mediums/platforms using the appropriate formats (Create Once Publish Everywhere:  COPE).
  • This role requires a brand publisher mindset: create the content our audience is looking for and then to optimize the path (s) to conversion, retention, or cross sell aligning with audience journeys.
  • Accountable for designing and implementing creative marketing strategies and overall content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and customer retention engagement and results.
  • Works closely with Investments and other non-Investment offer SMEs to develop source content/narrative/WIIFM for clients/articulate solutions.
  • Collaborates across functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet strategic business objectives.
  • Understanding of editorial requirements that engagement and execution team will implement (Ex:  SEO, content categorization/taxonomy, digital distribution via landing pages, content hubs, social channels, email/newsletter, third party content aggregators).
  • Integration of content programs with brand campaigns to drive brand awareness with efforts to move to consideration as appropriate.
  • Leading and collaborating with a team of writers/designers/illustrators (agency or in-house), digital marketers, and data analysts.
  • Development of editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone along with developing and managing editorial calendar(s).
  • Working with engagement/execution and DI&E teams, measuring the results of marketing activity to inform future marketing campaigns and content programs.
  • Assisting the Director of Marketing Strategy with managing a content marketing budget.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • 10+ years industry experience preferred
  • Job requires both marketing experience and strong technical background

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Ability and desire to lead, develop strategy and implement; must work collaboratively with Investments, Distribution Enablement, and all internal colleagues
  • Responsive yet thoughtful to client/internal requests; advocates for driving content engagement and audience learning and Harbor strategic initiatives equally
  • Results driven – seeks to learn and enhance marketing activities (and approach) based on data/results (quantitative/qualitative)

  • Presentations to senior leadership and management on the program approaches and results will be required
